Bifilar Heater Designs
The Bifilar heater design integrates interwoven conductor patterns where one is of higher resistance than its adjacent pattern. The resulting heater is two heaters in one, providing step-based heating.
Stepping Controls
Bifilar designs provide an unusual heat control scheme when variable input voltage is not available. Each heating element has its own input wire set which is controlled independently – giving the engineer the ability to step wattage output, blend heating schemes, or pulsate between heating elements to satisfy a unique requirement in the OEM’s device.
All Flex Bifilar heaters implement multiple conductor widths within the same layout, providing multiple resistance levels. Input voltage is required for each element.
